Word of the week

ESTAR (to be - temporary)

This word is usually changed weekly. Don't miss the next one!

Remark: Estar com is frequently used in expressions. Estar (to be temporary) should  not be confused with ser (to be permanent). You can find many more useful phrases in my Portuguese Grammar book and Portuguese CD-ROM Course, which are available for sale only through my website. If you want and need to learn Portuguese beyond the basics and not just "get by", I highly recommend my CD-ROM course and grammar book.
